Investigations

ROUTINE INVESTIGATION
CBC, RBS, B.urea, S.Cr, S.Electrolye, LFT, HIV. HBsAg, HCV, CXray, ECG. Laboratory studies are an extension of physical examination in which tissue, blood, urine or other specimens are obtained from patients and subjected to microscopic, biochemical, microbiological or immunological examination.

URINE EXAMINATION
Urine R/m, urine c/s. A urinalysis is a test of your urine. A urinalysis is used to detect and manage a wide range of disorders, such as urinary tract infections, kidney disease and diabetes. A urinalysis involves checking the appearance, concentration and content of urine.

UROFLOWMETRY & UDS
A computerized machine to see urine flow rate and neurological examination of bladder and urethra. When patient complain if poor Urine stream, string and incomplete evacuation require this investigation.
Minor Procedures

CATHETERIZATION
When there is patient unable to void urine a floey's catheter is placed through urethra to drainage of urine from bladder.

NEPHROSTOGRAM
Antegrade nephrostogram and pyelography - when pcn in situ and to see uper tract pathology and uper ureter filling defect after urograffin instilling pictures under c-arm

PROSTATE SCREENING
S.PSA. and digital rectal examination for any evidence of prostate cancer in old age group patients.

RENAL BIOPSY
For renal medical disease ,in raising Cr level and in albuminuria. require renal biopsy to see exact pathology in kidney.

DJ STENTING
When there is obstruction in ureter by any stone or other pelvic pathology to relieve obstruction double j stent are inserted in ureter from kidney to bladder.

CYSTOURETHROSCOPY
-+Invasive procedure to see internal optical view of urethra and bladder .when patient having any dysuria, obstructive LUTS, hematuria, urethral stricure, any outlet obstruction.

ADULT CIRCUMCISION
When there is phimosis and delayed paraphimosis that requires removal of foreskin.

URETHRAL DILATATION
When patients having long standing urethral stricure and in old age groups patient major surgery not possible ..that patients are on regular urethral dilatation ..by teflon urethral dilator air hard urethral dilator...to dilate urethra so that easily pass urine.

PROSTATE NEEDLE BIOPSY
(PNBx) when there is possibility of prostate cancer ,increase s.psa level and in dre ..hard prostate .prostate needle biopsy taken per rectally to rule out prosate cancer.

PCN TUBE
When uper tract obstruction and pyonephrosis or after pcnl procedure there is placement of percutaneous nephrostomy tube to drainage of uper system.

URETEROSCOPY & RGP
When any unilateral hematuria or any uretrel stricture, VUR, ureterecele, required this procedure.

MEATAL DILATATION & MEATOPLASTY
When there is meatal opening pin point or closed ..that requires opening of meatus and sometime cut meatal opening and grafting with skin.

FRENULOPLASTY
There is tight frenulum ,so when penile erection or during sexual activity pain under surface of glass due to fighting of frenulum. Require frenuloplasty.

TESTICULAR BIOPSY
In male infertility case as diagnostic and therapeutic both approach require testicular biopsy to see that any sperm produce in testicle or not. Along with sperm retrieval for IVF.

Endoscopic Procedure

DVIU
(Direct visual internal urethrotomy). When small urethral stricure than endoscopically open urethra with cold knife and catheter placement.

URSL
(ureterorenoscopic lithotripsy) When large ureteric stone not managed by consevativaly endoscopically removal .

TURP
(Trans urethral resection of prostate) in old age when benign prostate enlargement and bladder outlet obstruction symptoms are predominantly and not relieved by medication..require endoscopically removal of prostatic tissue.

PCNL
(Percutaneous nephrolithotomy) In large kidney when require endoscopically removal percutaneous kidney, puncture.

TURBT
(Trans urethral resection of bladder tumour) In smokers and dye industry worker high risk of bladder tumour .removal of bladder tumour tissue endoscopically as therapeutic and for diagnostic purpose.

RIRS
(Retrograde intra renal stone surgery) When medium size stone in uper ureter or in renal pelvis retrograde stone removal with help of laser.
Open Surgery

HYDROCELECTOMY
Fluid accumulation in sacrotal sac .removal of fluid by open sac and eversion of sac.

NSV (VASECTOMY)
Non scalpel vasesctomy for male sterilisation.ligation and cut of vas deferens at scrotal region.

SHUNT FORMATION FOR PRIAPISM
Persistant erection of penile that not relieved by aspiration and irrigation with saline..require open distal or proximal shunt formation.

HYPOSPADIAS REPAIR
There is congenital defect in distal urethra formation lead to urinate patient under surface of penis .open surgical repair with new tube formation for stream of urine and for cosmetic purpose.

NEPHROLITHOTOMY
Open kidney surgery for stone removal.

RADICAL CYSTECTOMY WITH NEOBLADDER OR ILEAL CONDUIT
In bladder tumour definitive surgical management ..require complete removal of bladder along with lymph node dissection with neobladder formation or ileal conduit formation.

PENILE PROSTHESIS SURGERY
A penile implant, or penile prosthesis, is a treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED). The surgery involves placing inflatable or flexible rods into the penis.

EPIDIDYMAL CYST EXCISION
Large epididymal cyst removal.

ORCHIDECTOMY
Removal of testis ...as simple or radical orchidectomy..in prosate cancer treatment and in testicular cancer treatment.

PENILE FRACTURE REPAIR
Vigourus secmxual activity there is bending of erect penile and repture of tibia albugenia linng if penis .open repair required in this case otherwise erectile dysfunction may occur.

NEPHRECTOMY
Removal of kidney. In nonfunctioning, pyonephrotic kidney or in renal malignancy.

A-V FISTULA FORMATION FOR DIALYSIS
An AV fistula is how patients are connected to a dialysis machine. A nurse starts your dialysis treatment by inserting two needles into the AV fistula.

In congenital VUR,or megaureter,or itrogenic ureteric injury require ureteric re -implant to bladder with new opening formation.

TESTICULAR IMPLANT SURGERY
