POST OPERTIVE INSTRUCTIONS
endoscopic surgery
Endoscopic surgery: Generally in all endourological procedure TURP, TURBT, DVIU, URSL, PCNL patients advice to avoid constipation,24-48hr bed rest, avoid heavy work for at least 2 weeks, keep Catheter as your doctor advice, adequate hydration as 2.5-3lt /day fluid intake. Urgently consult your doctor if any of below condition you faces. Urinary retention, gross hematuria, blood clots in urine.
Open surgery
Open surgery: In all open Urological surgery as nephrectomy, pyeloplasty,ureterolithotomy, open prostatectomy, radical cystectomy, penectomy or hypospadias surgery, urethroplasty ..keep always remain in mind as your doctor instructions given to you. Catheter care, abdominal drain care, PCN tube care, local hygiene of external genitalia, stitch line infections management, early ambulatory, adequate hydration, early oral feeding, lower limb physiotherapy.
